Why Choose Us?
What is the Process?
Introductions: The process begins when you reach out! I’ll review the information that you submit and contact you for an initial meeting where I will begin to learn about your organization, mission, funding needs, objectives, and programs. If we determine that we will be a good fit for collaboration, I will draft a quote and a contract for your consideration.
Grant Materials Checklist: After we decide to work together, we will begin preparing everything we need to make your organization grant-ready. Together, we will review your organization and program documentation, strategic plan, and past grant applications. We will compile your documentation and determine a strategy to update and create what is still needed.
Master Template: At this point, I will create a grant template that will help me to tell the story of your organization and programs. If you already have a grant template, we will work to update and edit it to ensure that we are ready to move forward. We will also develop responses to frequently asked questions.
Prospect Research & Grant Calendar: Using subscription-based databases, we will carefully identify potential funding sources and provide a detailed report of the best matches between your organization and potential funders. From this point, we will make a calendar for the applications. If you already have a list of prospects, we will review that together so that we can be certain of deadlines, eligibility requirements, and that the funding priorities still match your needs. Prospect research is an ongoing process and we will keep in close touch about the calendar.
Preparing & Submitting Proposals: At this point, I will use all of the information we gathered to develop strong proposals. I will send you completed drafts of the proposals and you can provide feedback and request edits and revisions. I recommend that you formally submit Letters of Intent on your letterhead and submit applications from a contact at your organization. You should always be the primary point of contact as it will be your relationship with the funder that will be important.
Follow Ups & Reporting: After each proposal is submitted, I will update our records, and help you to follow up with the funder as needed. I will also work with you to follow up with the funder’s requirements for submitting reports.
